Gordon discusses in-home visit

Arizona visited Aaron Gordon on Monday night. Read on to see how the visit went, where Arizona stands, and more.

San Jose (Calif.) Archbishop Mitty combo forward Aaron Gordon has been on Sean Miller's recruiting radar since he became the UA head coach.

Gordon has improved his all-around game over the last few years and is now considered one of the best players in the country.

There hasn't been a lot of movement in his recruitment over the last few months, but that figures to change soon.

Sean Miller, Joe Pasternack, and Book Richardson just completed an in-home visit with Gordon and the five-star forward came away impressed.

"The visit went well," Gordon said. "Coach Miller and the staff are really cool guys. He's professional but down to earth at the same time."

Gordon says that he discussed numerous aspects of Arizona with the coaches in order to get a better feel for the school.

"We talked about a lot of things like basketball philosophy, where he sees the program heading, and just the general development of my game," Gordon said.

"They explained everything really well. It was a well thought-out presentation and it was good to see everyone."

In terms of leaders, Gordon has not moved around much. However, Arizona is right near the top of his list.

"Arizona is among my top schools, along with Washington and Oregon," he said. "I also like Kentucky and Kansas."

Gordon will host Kentucky on Tuesday night and plans to take his time making a decision.

"I want to give all the schools on my list a chance to show me what they're all about," Gordon said. "The visits are important and I'm taking everything in. That said, it was a good visit and Arizona definitely helped their cause."
