Arizona easily defeated Washington on Saturday night. Read on to see a complete recap of the Wildcat victory.

Going into Saturday night's game at Arizona Stadium between Arizona and Washington, the belief was that the Wildcats were the favorites.

Not many could have seen this coming though.

Arizona dominated the game from the start en route to an easy 52-17 win led by 172 yards on the ground from Ka'Deem Carey.

"I was really pleased with our effort tonight," Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez said. "We gave great effort in all three phases for all four quarters and that's the first time we've done that all year. We played really hard and put it all together"

Washington started on its own 10-yard line with a five-yard pass from Keith Price to Bishop Sankey followed by a 13-yard pass to Austin Seferian-Jenkins. Two plays later, Kasen Williams caught an eight yard pass and two plays after that, Seferian-Jenkins added one for 16 yards. Arizona soon forced a fourth down, but Price found Sankey in the flat for a six-yard gain and first down. The drive then stalled and the Huskies settled for a 43-yard field goal by Travis Coons, which made it 3-0 with 9:49 left in the first quarter.

Arizona started on its own 25-yard line with a 14-yard run by Ka'Deem Carey followed by a run for six yards. Dan Buckner then caught a nine-yard pass from Matt Scott and Carey followed with 15 combined yards on the next two carries. After a three-yard run by Carey, Scott found David Richards for a wide-open 27-yard touchdown catch. The seven play drive only took 1:35 and out Arizona up 7-3 with 7:48 left in the first quarter.

The Huskies tried to answer starting on their own 20 with two runs for a combined six yards by Sankey. After a five-yard pass to Williams, Sankey gained seven more on the ground. Kendyl Taylor then was able to pick up 18 yards combined on the next two plays. Arizona's defense then was able to force a third and eight and came up with the stop, forcing a UW punt.

Carey started on his own 12-yard line with a run for 12 yards and two plays later, Scott found Buckner for a 20-yard gain. Three plays after that, he connected with Buckner again, this time for 43 yards and Arizona added 15 on a late hit by the Huskies. Unfortunately, Arizona could not get anything beyond a four-yard run by Carey, as John Bonano's 24-yard field goal made it 10-3 at the end of the first quarter.

UW tried to answer with an 11-yard pass to Williams to its own 36-yard line. On the next play, Seferian-Jenkins caught a 27-yard pass and it looked like the Huskies were in business. However, a holding call two plays later slowed things down and then Hank Hobson and Reggie Gilbert came up with a sack on second down. On 3rd and 20, Tra'Mayne Bondurant came up with an interception and brought it to the Washington 41.

Arizona basically chipped away at Washington on its drive, starting with a four-yard run by Carey abd followed with a seven-yard pass to Garic Wharton. Scott then gained seven on the ground, Carey five, and Scott eight combined on the next two plays. After a three-yard run by Scott again, Carey gained five and two plays later scored from one-yard out as the extra point made it 17-3 with a little over eight minutes left in the first half.

"Ka'Deem is really talented and he runs hungry," Rodriguez said. "He really makes guys tackle. Washington hit him pretty good, but he kept going. He only needs a little crease and he breaks a lot of tackles."

Arizona forced a three and out before getting the ball on its own 38-yard line. Two plays into the drive, Carey picked up eight on the ground. Four plays later, he gained eight more and three plays after that, Scott got five on the ground. On the next play, Scott found Wharton for a 33-yard touchdown, as the extra point made it 24-3 with 4:43 left in the first half.

Needing a score, UW started its ensuing drive with a 20-yard pass to Williams followed by a 13-yard run by Sankey and a run for six yards on the next play. After a 30-yard run by Taylor, Seferian-Jenkins caught a six-yard touchdown, as the extra point cut it to 24-10 with a little less than four minutes to go in the first half.

It did not take long for Arizona to answer, as Scott found Wharton for 19 yards and two plays later connected with Austin Hill for a 53-yard touchdown with the extra point making it 31-10 with 2:37 left in the first half.

Arizona forced a three and out once again and tried to get something with a minute to go in the first half. Carey gained nine yards and the Huskies forced a fourth down where Arizona was going to punt, but an offsides call kept the drive alive at Arizona's own 48-yard line with 41 seconds left. Unfortunately for Arizona, Scott threw an interception on the next play and returned it 47 yards to Arizona's three-yard line.

Price kept the ball on first down and failed to score, followed by an incomplete pass on second down. On third down, Sankey was able to run it in and the extra point made it 31-17 at the half.

The first half started interestingly enough as Carey fumbled his first carry and Price came right back and fumbled on the next play to give Arizona the ball back at Washington's 43-yard line.

Daniel Jenkins had a three-yard run to start the drive and David Richards caught an eight-yard pass. Jenkins followed with 10 more on the ground and Scott found Hill for a 17-yard touchdown three plays later, as the extra point made it 38-17 with 12:23 left in the third.

Arizona forced another three and out and on the punt, Morrison found the open field and returned it for a 63-yard touchdown, which is the first punt return for a touchdown since 2009 and gave Arizona the 45-17 lead with the extra point and over nine minutes left in the third quarter.

Washington badly needed an answer and started on its own 20 with a three-yard run by Sankey. Three plays later, Jourdon Grandon was called for two personal fouls and put UW in good field position. Taylor ran for eight yards and Sankey followed with nine-yard completion. Taylor then caught a seven-yard pass, but Grandon came up with an interception three plays later to end the Husky drive.

After an exchange of punts, Arizona was forced into a second and 31, but Scott picked up 24 yards on the ground and then completed a pass to Buckner for ten yards on the next play. Carey followed it up with a 16-yard run and after a holding call two plays later, picked up 19 more on the ground. On the next play, Carey scored from two yards out and the extra point made it 52-17 with 11:32 left in the fourth quarter.
