Cheatham has offers from many west coast schools and figures to garner offers from numerous high-majors across the country. Arizona has been recruiting Cheatham and he was in McKale to watch the Arizona Wildcats take on the Stanford Cardinal.
"It was a good time," Cheatham said. "The team looked pretty good and I was able to talk with the coaches a little bit and they just talked to me about how I would fit in.
"It's still kind of a feeling out process, but it's a really good school and you can tell by their record and players that it's a program that can compete with anyone."
Cheatham is looking at possible college destinations, but is also working to improve at the same time.
"I'm trying to diversify my skills so I can play inside and out," Cheatham said. "I think eventually I could be on the perimeter, but right now I'm working on finishing around the hoop and also taking my guy off the dribble."
As far as recruiting goes, Cheatham expects to decide on a school before the end of the year.
"I've always had one date in mind for my decision," Cheatham said. "My birthday is November 17 and that works out well with Signing Day. Who knows, maybe something happens before that, but I doubt it.
"The main goal right now is to keep improving. I like the schools recruiting me and hopefully I can improve to the point where everyone wants me."
