Although Mike's best sport is football, he is also a solid contributor for other Sabino teams.
"I just got done playing basketball and now track is coming up," Mike said. "I played pretty well at times, but I feel I could have done a few more things this year for the team. I'll just try to remember that for next season."
Mike believes that playing other sports will help him improve his football skills.
"I like playing multiple sports because I think it makes me a more well-rounded athlete," he said. "Playing basketball is a big advantage because it helps with my conditioning and my footwork and the same is true with track. Improving my footwork is a big deal for me and those sports are important for that."
"Junior day was fun," Mike said. "They let me know they thought I was a good player. I got to talk with the coaches and tour the campus.
"Being from Tucson, I know a lot about the school, but just touring the campus and looking at it from a different perspective was cool."
Although Mike enjoyed his visit, he has no plans to make a decision any time soon.
"I don't really have a set plan on how or when I'm going to decide," Mike said. "I'm going to wait and see what schools are most interested in me and what I like about all the schools."
Mike has seen his recruiting attention increase as of late and it looks realistic that his recruitment will become national.
"I've been getting more attention from schools like Tennessee and Florida State, so who knows what will happen," Mike said. "Right now I see myself taking all five visits."
