Arizona offers Florida receiver

Orlando Lake Nona wide receiver Ryan Sousa was recently offered by Arizona. Read on for his reaction, other offers, and how he will handle making a decision.

Rich Rodriguez is continuing to recruit skill talent from Florida and one of those players is 2014 Orlando Lake Nona wide receiver Ryan Sousa. Sousa was the leading receiver in the state this past season, going for more than 1,600 yards and 21 touchdowns.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound three-star prospect is starting to look closer into his recruitment and is considering a number of schools.

"The schools recruiting me the hardest are Rutgers, Boston College, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Central Florida, Purdue, Kentucky, Missouri, Kansas and Michigan," Sousa said.

Arizona recently got involved in Sousa's recruitment and is hoping to be on the list of schools recruiting him the hardest.

"Coach Lockwood is recruiting me from Arizona as well," Sousa said. "I met Coach Lockwood when he was recruiting my brother while at West Virginia. My brother committed to play at Michigan for Coach Rodriguez before he left, so I am familiar with their offense."

Sousa plans on traveling all over the country and looking at all his options this summer.

"I've already been to Central Florida, Wake Forest, South Carolina, South Florida, Miami and Georgia," Sousa said. "I will be visiting in the next month or this summer the majority of schools that have offered me."

In terms of a decision, Sousa would like to decide on a school as soon as possible.

"I want to make a decision before the start of my senior season," Sousa said. "My coach, Anthony Paradiso, will help me make a decision just like he helped my older brother find his school."
