"I had a good time on my visit to Arizona," Whiley said. "I got to check out some of the campus and talk with the coaches. I got to talk with them about how they would use me when I got there."
Whiley says that the coaching staff made it clear why it wants him to be a Wildcat.
"They like my speed and quickness and are recruiting me as an athlete," he said. "They just want to see me on the field and they would put where they thought I fit best.
"The coaches want to get their best athletes on the field if possible and they think my athleticism gives me a lot of possibilities on both sides of the ball. They also talked to me about their system and how Coach Rodriguez wants guys who can play, but who also just love football."
Whiley plans on taking multiple visits this summer.
"I'm interested in the schools that are recruiting me and I want to see what they all have to offer," Whiley said.
"I have offers from UCLA, Arizona State, Arizona, Washington, Oregon State and Oklahoma."
Whiley has already been to a few schools, but has plans to visit the others recruiting him.
"I've been to Arizona, ASU, and UCLA, which is doing some good things and is coming up," Whiley said. "I will try to get to more schools in the next few months when I have time."
As far as a decision goes, don't expect a quick one from Whiley.
"There is no real time frame for a decision," Whiley said. "I will know a lot more after I take visits and I can see and compare all the schools to each other.
"I'll go anywhere if I think it's the best school for me, so it's important that I'm able to get a feel for every program."
