Recruiting Reset: Offensive guards

Arizona has offered numerous offensive guards. Read on to see who it has offered and where the Wildcats stand with each.

Natrell Curtis: Arizona has had Curtis on campus, but we would be surprised if he ended up a Wildcat. At this point, it looks as if it is a battle between UCLA and ASU, but the longer it takes, the more interesting the recruitment could become. Either way, Arizona is in stronger standing with other offensive linemen and is likely working from behind here.

Viane Talamaivao: The four-star lineman is going to have plenty of offers to choose from, including one from Alabama. That makes it extremely difficult for the Wildcats, but the hope is that they can get him on campus and hopefully make a dent in his recruitment. What is interesting is that USC has yet to offer and UCLA has made others a higher priority. Arizona has an opportunity to get in here, but needs to get him on campus first. The good thing is that Talamaivao wants to take all of his visits before making a decision.

Isaiah Wynn: Wynn is yet another top lineman in the country and has the offer list to prove it. Schools such as Georgia, Vanderbilt, and Florida have offered, but Wynn has opened things up. Wynn is consistent in saying that he likes a spread offense that plays at a high speed and wants to visit Oregon for that reason. Arizona fits that and is a recent offer, so it will be interesting to see what Wynn thinks of the Wildcats once they are able to make a stronger push.

Austin Hall: Hall seems very likely to leave the state and the word is that a Stanford offer would basically end his recruitment. Now it is possible that he never gets that offer and chooses to look at all of his options, but even that would not mean that he would choose Arizona. We would be surprised if Hall stayed in-state, but crazier things have happened.

Kammy Delp: Arizona offered Delp this past week and, in no coincidence, he obtained numerous offers shortly after. The Wildcats are definitely going to be right in the thick of things for Delp, but he told us that he wants to take his time with making a decision. At this point, he will decide once his senior season ends, which allows him to take visits and see his offer list increase. If Arizona chooses to recruit him until then, we feel confident in saying it is likely going to be one of the schools to beat.

Kaige Lawrence: Not much is known about Lawrence, but Arizona is his first major offer. The Wildcats are looking to land a JC lineman or two and considering the offer list, it appears that Lawrence will be made a priority. At this point you have to assume that Arizona is in good shape, but we will have to see how Lawrence wants to handle his recruitment.

Levi Walton: Arizona was smart to offer Walton because we can see him getting more offers in a hurry. He is 6-foot-3, 270-pounds and extremely athletic. The coaching staff has done a good job of recruiting Florida, so it has a chance here. However, Walton is the type of player that can get a lot more offers once his tape circulates, so he is one to keep an eye on.
