Recruiting Reset: Cornerbacks

Arizona is in good standing with numerous cornerbacks. Read on to see who they are and where Arizona stands with each offer.

Treon Harris: Harris is very solid player, but it is going to be difficult to land him. He somewhat recently named Clemson, Oregon, Florida State, Florida, and LSU as his favorite schools. Considering he is in Florida and has SEC offers, the chances of Arizona landing him look slim. The Wildcats will still continue to pursue him, but so are a ton of other schools.

Tyler Whiley: Arizona is in good shape for Whiley although that does not mean that it is a guarantee by any means. There is no real timetable for his decision, but it looks like it will come down to the in-state schools or UCLA. That could change depending on other offers, but either way, Arizona is going to be right in the thick of things. Some may believe that Whiley is likely headed to UCLA, but the Wildcats have a legitimate shot here.

Naijiel Hale: Arizona fans know plenty about this recruitment and Arizona is in good shape. It would be difficult to argue that the Wildcats are the favorite, but numerous schools are starting to pick it up. An Oregon offer would make this recruitment very interesting and there is a good chance that happens. Cal is also in there, but Arizona seems more likely at this point. The most interesting aspect of this recruitment is when Hale will decide. Originally, he wanted to do it during The Opening, but now he is saying that he will trim his list there and take official visits.

Alijah Holder: The Wildcats are in good shape for Holder and have to be considered one of the leaders. He also speaks highly of Washington State and at this point it seems that there is a good chance the recruitment will come down to those two schools. Holder would ideally like to decide before the start of the season and Arizona has already had him on campus. There is a chance that things could slow down if Alijah and his brother get more offers, but Arizona is going to be right near the top no matter what.

Alameen Murphy: It is difficult to know where Arizona stands right now because the offer is so new. Stanford is considered to be one of the favorites and was an earlier offer. Maryland is also in there and a Penn State offer would be pretty big for Murphy. The good news is that Arizona has time to get more involved, so we should know more about this recruitment once the UA coaching staff picks up the intensity.

Tajee Fullwood: Based on what Fullwood told us earlier this week, Arizona has a good shot at getting him on campus. Once that happens, the dynamic of the recruitment can change. However, Arizona is fine with its position and Rutgers and Louisville are the other two main schools involved right now. Fullwood is high on Louisville and Rutgers, but Arizona's recent offer will give it an opportunity to land the Florida athlete.
