Dixon looking at options

Bryce Dixon is one of the top players in the west and is being recruited as such. Read on to see which schools are recruiting him, where Arizona stands, and more.

Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure 2014 tight end Bryce Dixon is one of the best players in the country regardless of position and the schools pursuing him prove that point.

"I would say the schools that stand out the most are USC, UCLA, Florida, Miami, Cal, ASU and Texas A&M," Dixon said. "But that isn't a full list because I find out new things about each school that changes things from time to time.

"I think I will be going to the Miami and Florida team camps this summer and maybe Texas as well."

Arizona has been recruiting Dixon for a long time and he is looking at UA as well.

"The Arizona coaches were just at my school the other day," Dixon said. "They are a school I'm considering. They feel I'm a perfect fit for their offense, so it was good to hear from them."

Dixon has some specific criteria in what he wants from his future school.

"The main things I'm looking for in a school are a good academic program and a football team that really utilizes the tight end position by moving around and looking for them to make plays," Dixon said.

"The other main factor is I want to play in a warm weather climate. I don't want to go to somewhere cold. Distance will not play any factor in my decision."

In addition, Dixon has a good idea of when he would like to make a final decision by.

"I know the main things I'm looking for, and, if possible, I would like to settle on a school before the start of my senior season," he said.
