"I would say the school that sticks out the most is Washington," McMaryion said. "Coach Sarkisian does a very good job with his quarterbacks and you can tell that they are on the verge of some big things up there.
"Obviously, their quarterback is graduating after next year and Coach says it will be an open competition to get that spot."
Arizona is not out of it by any means and is doing its best to impress McMaryion.
"The Arizona coaches have been recruiting me," McMaryion said. "I plan on getting out there this weekend and I'm pretty excited about it. I'm at the stage now where I can start comparing visits to see where everything stands."
McMaryion won't be done with his visits after Arizona, as he knows a handful of others as well.
"I plan on visiting Fresno State, California and Stanford," he said. "All those schools have things I like about them. They're on the west coast, they have a good history of producing solid offenses and the coaches have done a good job recruiting me."
McMaryion is going on these visits with a clear idea of what he wants to see.
"There are a number of things I'm looking for in a school," McMaryion said. "I want to go to a place with a winning tradition, national recognition, and a coach that has a really good reputation for producing good quarterbacks. I also want the school to have a good kinesiology department.
"If I had to guess, I would imagine I will decide sometime right around the start of the season."
