The 7-foot-0, 215-pound five-star often sticks to the post in high school, so the camp environment allowed him to show a bit more of what he can do.
"There really are not any boundaries at a camp and it is mostly point guards, so big men have to do what they have to do in order to succeed," Zimmerman said.
The ability that he showed is just one of the reasons why Zimmerman has heard from so many schools, but he is taking an open approach to his recruitment.
"Recruiting is going well right now," he said. "I am hearing from a lot of schools. I have heard from pretty much every school and it seems to be equal right now."
Arizona is one of the schools that has made Zimmerman a priority and he says that the Wildcats' pitch has been clear.
"I am a very good athlete and I would make a great fit there," Zimmerman said. "They have told me I am one of their top priorities."
Zimmerman has had interest in a while now and a lot of that has to do with his thoughts about an unofficial visit he took this past season.
"Arizona is a great campus," he said. "I got to see what they do up close and they have a great coaching staff. Also, everybody that goes there seems to really like it."
The big man is nowhere close to making a decision, but knows what he is looking for in his future school.
"My main interest is looking at each school and seeing how they use their big men," he said. "I want to take my time, so I make the right decision."
