Jackson looking at options

Vance Jackson is one of the top players in the west for 2016. Read on for his thoughts on Arizona, his overall recruitment, and more.

One of the most impressive underclassmen at the Pangos All-American Camp was 6-foot-6, 190-pound Pasadena (Calif.) La Salle forward Vance Jackson.

The 2016 forward was able to showcase his skills on both sides of the ball and was impressive not only shooting it, but taking it to the basket as well.

With his numerous abilities, it makes sense that the majority of the schools in the west have checked in with him and he already holds offers as well.

"Recruiting is going well," Jackson said. "Washington, UConn, and Arizona have offered. USC, UCLA, Kansas, UNLV are recruiting me. I wouldn't say anybody is sticking out for me right now."

Arizona has been recruiting Jackson for a while now and he says that the coaching staff has made its pitch clear to him.

"They like wings and they say I fit in well with their program," he said. "I like how they move up and down. I think I can fit in well with them and they tell me I am one of their favorite players in the class."

As Jackson looks at each of his options, he has one main factor that he will be researching and that will also play a major role in his decision.

"I am going to be looking at everything, but I want to make sure that whatever school I choose is one where I fit in," he said.

Jackson is still young and thus does not have any plans to make an early decision.

"I will probably decide during my junior or senior year," he said. "I am the type of guy that is going to want to take my official visits and I am not in a rush to make a decision."

Still, Jackson would like to get out and see some schools this summer, including one in particular.

"I don't have any set dates," he said. "Arizona wants me to come look at the campus and I think I am going to do that sometime this summer."
