Memphis (Tenn.) White Station 2014 combo forward Leron Black is one of the most talented players in the class and a player who Stoudamire is very familiar with.
"Arizona is a school that Leron is looking at now," said Black's AAU coach, Norton Hurd. "We obviously know Damon from his time at Memphis and he's a good guy who we have a good relationship with.
"Arizona just offered Leron, so we're going to be looking at them as well. They have a good reputation and it helps that Damon is there."
Arizona will have its work cut out for it, because Black can essentially go the school of his choice.
"He's been a highly recruited kid for a long time," Hurd said. "Right now there's only like two or three programs that haven't offered him a scholarship.
"I'm happy for him because he's a great kid who worked hard to get where he's at."
Black will eventually focus on his recruitment, but right now he's focused on improving his basketball skills.
"We are working him hard," Hurd said. "He's got a nice 15 to 18 foot jumper and he's just moving with a lot of confidence right now. He knows he's good, but he also knows he can get much better.
"Once he gets done playing basketball, we will look at schools and see which ones he wants to visit. He knows he wants to play in an up-tempo system where he has a chance to get early playing time.
As of now, Black intends to take his official visits and then proceed from there.
"He'll take his five visits and I imagine he will decide sometime either in November or December," Hurd said.
