White looking at options

Paul White is one of the best forwards in 2014. Read on to see where his recruitment stands, thoughts on a decision, and more.

Chicago Whitney Young 2014 combo forward Paul White has long been on the national recruiting radar and he continues to get more offers.

"I recently got offered by Georgetown and Auburn to go with all my previous offers," White said. "There really isn't a school that really stands out right now, but I'm happy that so many schools are interested in me."

Arizona is one of those schools that has consistently shown interest in White.

"I talk with Coach Book and Coach Miller a lot," White said. "They say they really like my game and they don't think I have a position, which fits into what they're trying to do."

One of Arizona's main pitches to White is that it likes his versatility.

"They want guys who are versatile and can play multiple positions, and they talk to me a lot about my passing," White said. "It really helps the team flow better when you have guys who are looking to hit the open man."

It's a good thing the Arizona coaching staff has impressed White, as his relationship with each staff recruiting him will weigh heavily in a decision.

"Connecting with a coaching staff will be a major issue for me," White said. "I can get a pretty good impression about the coaches from talking with them on a weekly basis, so it's going to be important for me to take visits later in the year so I can be around the guys and see what campus life is like."

A decision from White shouldn't come any time soon, as he plans on waiting to take his visits.

"There isn't an exact month I'm looking to commit, but I would like to commit before the season starts," White said. "I really don't know if that is going to happen because I plan on taking visits into October.

"If something comes up before that it would be great because that way I can get to play the season not worrying about any of that stuff."
