Manhasset (N.Y) St. Mary's center Jessie Govan is one of the most talented players in the 2015 class and possesses a skill set that intrigues the Arizona coaching staff.
"I just was offered by Arizona," Govan said. "They watched me at Boo Williams and they said they liked my game and my ability.
"I've also gotten offers from Virginia and Miami, so I'm just going to play hard and hopefully I will get more offers."
Govan admits that he has to learn more about the Wildcats, but there is initial interest.
"I don't know a ton about the program or school, but I know they have a good reputation and I look forward to hearing more from them," he said.
Govan is currently focused on improving certain aspects of his game.
"The main things I'm working on trying to get better at are my low post scoring and being able to extend my jumper out a little further," Govan said. "My conditioning is getting better, but it also needs to improve as well."
The 6-foot-9, 220-pound center knows what he's looking for in a school and has a rough time frame for making a decision.
"It's still kind of early, but there are a few things I would like to see in my future school," Govan said. "I want to go to a school that has a winning tradition and where success is expected. I also want to play with teammates that are unselfish and play the game the right way to win.
"I would like to decide sometime during my senior season, either before or after the season. I'm not sure."
