Lineman looking at visits

New Orleans lineman Alex Anderson is looking to take official visits. Read on to find out two that he wants to take, when he will decide, and more.

New Orleans Perry Walker 2014 offensive lineman Alex Anderson has received some quality offers, but he is now getting interest from some of the elite programs in the country.

"I just finished the Alabama camp and it went really well," Anderson said. "I think I held my own and hopefully opened some eyes. The position coach said they liked what I can do and he was going to talk with Coach and see if I can get an offer, which would be really neat.

"I'm going to the LSU camp next and after that I'm done with camps and I'm going to start taking my visits."

As Anderson plans his visits, he already has a few places in mind.

"There are some other schools that are under consideration but, as of now, I plan on visiting Arizona State, Arizona and Arkansas," Anderson said.

It would not be a surprise to see Anderson's recruitment come down to the Arizona schools, as he speaks highly of both.

"Arizona and Arizona State have done a nice job recruiting me and both schools offer some different things that make them interesting to me.

"Arizona State's coaches are great and there are players on the team who I'm friends with and it's just a really good program. Coach Magee at Arizona is recruiting me and he says they like my frame and the fact that I can move, so I want to check them out as well."

After taking his visits, Anderson plans on coming to a quick decision.

"I want to decide before the season starts," Anderson said. "Early August or so is the date I'm looking at. That gives me enough time to check out schools and make a decision. Then I can go into the season not worrying about any of that stuff."
