Safety wants to visit

Safety Glen Ihenacho is looking to take visits. Read on to see where he wants to take them, when he will decide, and more.

Despite playing for one of the most talented high school teams in the country, Gardena (Calif.) Serra 2014 safety Glen Ihenacho has made his presence felt with college recruiters.

"A lot of schools are showing interest, and I just got done with UCLA camp, which was a lot of fun," Ihenacho said. "I don't know of anything else lined up, but I would like to take some visits here soon, if possible.

"No schools really stand out right now. I'm in the process of looking through all my offers and then hopefully I can come up with a list of places soon that I want to check out."

Arizona seems to be in good position to receive one of those visits.

"The Arizona coaches stay in touch with me constantly," Ihenacho said. "They want me to get out there for a visit, and they talk about how their system needs good defensive backs because they play so many of them. They are definitely a school that I would like to visit."

The visits will be crucial in helping Ihenacho make his decision.

"I want to see how the team interacts with each other and how the fans are on game day," Ihenacho said. "I also want to observe the leaders of the teams and see how they instruct and talk with the younger guys, because whatever school I go to I will be looking up to the older guys."

Ihenacho does not have a specific timeline for when he would like to decide, but realizes that there are numerous ways it could come about.

"I plan on taking all five official visits as soon as possible," he said. "If one visit really wows me I could see myself deciding on the spot. If not, I will take all five visits and decide from there."
