Metairie (La.) Rummel 2014 safety Dwayne Eugene is one of those players and is starting to visit schools.
"I've got camps at Georgia and Georgia Tech that I will be attending this weekend," Eugene said. "I'm excited to get out to those places and show off some of my skills. Other than that, I only have one visit that I'm aware of."
Eugene is hoping that his visit plans will eventually bring him to Arizona.
"My father is in the process of setting up a visit out to Arizona," he said. "The Arizona coaches have been recruiting me for awhile and they've had nice things to say about my game."
The safety has a few questions he wants answered while on his visits.
"The main things I want to see are good academics and a program that makes me feel wanted and at home," Eugene said. "A place that has early playing time would also be nice, but at the same time I want to earn playing time."
Eugene is training to ease his transition to the next level.
"I'm a hard worker," Eugene said. "Nothing has been given to me and I'm always working to get stronger and quicker.
"I feel I'm going to open up some eyes in the next few months and I'm doing everything I can so that happens."
Academics will play a factor in any decision Eugene makes.
"Initially, I wanted to major in something like anesthesiology, but I've also found out that I might not have time to do that since I would be a student athlete," he said.
"That's not a problem though because I will probably pursue something in business, so I want to check out the business program at any school I visit."
