Black staying patient

Leron Black is one of the top players in 2014. Read on for a closer look at his recruitment, where Arizona stands, and more.

Memphis White Station forward Leron Black has seen his recruitment at a consistently high level and it appears that the 2014 four-star will be able to choose from numerous schools throughout the country.

"Recruiting is going good," Black said. "Indiana, Illinois, Arizona, Florida, UConn, Baylor, Tennessee, Memphis, Louisville, and that is pretty much it. It is about all the same right now."

As Black talks to each school recruiting him, he has a good idea of what he would like in his future college.

"I am just trying to build a relationship with coaches and find a school where I fit in well on the court," he said. "I am big on my faith, so I also want to find a school that believes in the same faith as me and allows me to talk about stuff besides basketball."

Arizona is now a factor in Black's recruitment due in large part to the addition of Damon Stoudamire, who previously had a relationship with the 6-foot-7, 195-pound forward.

"We have been cool for a while," Black said. "When he first got to Memphis, we got real cool and we talk a lot.

"We have gotten real close and when he got to Arizona, he told me that he was going to recruit me real hard there too."

At this point, Black is not sure when he would like to make a decision. However, he admits that it could come at any time.

"I don't know when or who I am going to visit right now," he said. "I am just going to take my time and try to find the right school whenever that happens."
