Chatman looking to narrow it down

Kameron Chatman is getting closer to narrowing his list down. Read on to see his timeline, where Arizona stands, and more.

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly forward Kameron Chatman was one of the more impressive players at the recent LeBron James Skills Academy and the event allowed him to compare himself to other players in the 2014 class.

"My goal is just to get better," Chatman said. "We are playing against the best in the country, so it allows me to see what I have to work on to get better."

Although Chatman would not name any favorites, he was able to come up with the schools that he is hearing from the most.

"Recruiting is going well," he said. "It is still open right now, but I am hearing the most from Arizona, Michigan, UConn, and Oregon."

Arizona has recruited Chatman for a while now, but the forward says that it seems to have picked up as of late.

"A couple months ago, Arizona was not really on me that much, but then they started calling me more," he said.

"Coach Stoudamire is from Portland and he and my dad are good friends. They want to get a good class in and have me play with a couple of other guys and they think I would fit in well."

Chatman does not have any visits planned as of now, but does have a timeline in which he would like to get things moving.

"I don't have anything planned," he said. "Probably going into the school year I will start my officials. I am going to try to cut it down to five.

"I am going to try to sign in the fall, so I am probably going to try to cut it down before the summer is over and go from there."

So what will it come down to for the four-star forward?

"I am looking for a coaching staff I feel the most comfortable with," he said. "Somebody that is going to push me to be the best I can be and then obviously winning too."
