Brown looking at options

Jaylen Brown is one of the best players in the country for 2015. Read on for a closer look at his recruitment and more.

There aren't many players in the 2015 class that are better than Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler forward Jaylen Brown and he has continued to prove it this summer.

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound wing has shown his versatility and one of the main reasons for that is the freedom that AAU allows him to play with.

"It is a lot different because in AAU I have a lot more freedom and in high school there is a lot more thought process," Brown said. "I think it is easier in high school because our defensive purposes are a lot stricter."

Brown does not want to focus on the recruiting process too much, but says that he is hearing from a variety of schools.

"I try not to pay too much attention to it, but it is going pretty well," Brown said. "The schools I am hearing from the most are Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, UCLA, and Texas A&M."

In addition, Brown was recently offered by Arizona and one aspect of the offer caught him by surprise.

"The head coach of Arizona, Sean Miller, was the one who offered me," Brown said. "it was kind of a surprise, especially since it came from the head coach."

At this point in his recruitment, Brown is not thinking about a decision. Instead, he wants to get to know all he can about the schools recruiting him.

"I am young, so I am just trying to build a relationship with as many coaches as possible," he said. "I don't think I am anywhere near narrowing it down to even like a top ten or anything like that."
