Jackson high on Arizona

Vance Jackson is one of the top players in 2016. Read on for his thoughts on Arizona, his recruitment, and more.

There are not many players in the 2016 class in the west that are as impressive as Pasadena (Calif.) La Salle forward Vance Jackson.

The 6-foot-6, 190-pound athlete has already received a handful of offers and is now seeing others pick up their recruitment of him.

"UCLA is now telling me that they are going to recruit me strong," Jackson said. "Other than that, it is the normal schools that have been recruiting me, like Arizona, UConn, Washington, Kansas, UNLV, and USC."

Throughout the summer, Jackson had numerous goals. He has gained the reputation of being a shooter, but wants to show that he has more skills than that.

"I am just trying to show coaches that I can knock down shots, play hard on defense, and show them that I am just not a shooter," Jackson said.

"Sometimes when I have all of these coaches watching, it gets my adrenaline going, but I try not to let it affect me."

Arizona is one of the schools that has already offered Jackson and he says that he is happy about the offer because of how comfortable he would be.

"My interest in Arizona is real high right now," Jackson said. "I like the way that they play and I feel that I can fit in with them on both sides of the ball."

When looking at the schools recruiting him, Jackson is unique in that he does not seem to care what type of offense he will play in.

"I will play in any style, fast or half-court offense, it does not really matter," he said. "I want to just keep getting stronger and more flexible. I really try to work on everything."
