"It was a really productive summer for me," Davis said. "I went into the summer really trying to be the kind of player who doesn't need to score the ball to make an impact.
"I obviously worked on my scoring, but I wanted to be that guy who locked down other team's scorers while also keeping my team's offense flowing."
Davis' play this year was noticed by numerous schools.
"I'm hearing from Stanford, Cal, Colorado, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, UAB, Pepperdine and Arizona State just offered as well," Davis said.
"I'm also getting a lot of recruiting letters from schools like Arizona, but the earlier schools I mentioned are the ones that are recruiting me the hardest."
Style of play will not be a major consideration for Davis.
"I feel I have the kind of game that can really adapt to any style," Davis said. "That is why I'm trying to become as well rounded a player as possible, because the really good players can fit into any system."
With all the new recruiting attention Davis is receiving, he is in no hurry to make a decision.
"I'm really trying to take my time and see where things lead," Davis said. "I've gotten a lot more attention of late and I want to give all these schools a legit shot. Plus, who knows who else will become interested.
"I would imagine I will keep fielding offers and calls and then during my senior season I will start to narrow the list down and probably decide sometime after my that."
