Curtis looking for right fit

Natrell Curtis is looking towards his senior season, but thinking about his recruitment as well. Read on for his thoughts on his recruitment, when he will decide, and more.

Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe guard Natrell Curtis has been part of one of the more interesting in-state recruitments in recent memory, but everything appears to be winding down.

"Right now I'm completely focused on starting the season out strong," Curtis said. "There are a few things I'm really focusing on.

"I don't want to let the defender ever get his shoulders past me and I really want to finish out plays strongly. I can get away without doing all that stuff now, but next year will be different."

Although Curtis is focused on the start of his high school season, a college decision appears to be coming soon.

"I'm looking at making a decision by the second or third week of the season," Curtis said. "That way I can focus on starting strong while also looking to the future."

Curtis knows the schools he favors, but isn't tipping his hand.

"I've visited a lot of really good schools, and the schools that have stayed in touch are the ones that I'm looking at," Curtis said.

"Arizona was the last visit I went on, and it was a lot of fun. I got to see the school a little bit and talk with the coaches about my game."

At that point, and throughout his recruitment, Arizona made it clear why it wants Curtis.

"They love my strength and think I can be a really good player," Curtis said. "There are some things I need to work on, but they feel I have the potential to be a good player.

"It's definitely a school under consideration because it's a good program and close to home."

Curtis claims that distance will play only a minor factor in his decision.

"Its all about finding the right fit for me and I think I know where that is, but I'm still figuring everything out," Curtis said.

"I will travel anywhere to find that school and everyone will know where that is pretty soon."
