Jones' team has stumbled out of the gate, but that hasn't stopped him from showing off his raw ability.
"We're one and two right now, but it's really not that bad," Jones said. "The games have been pretty close and we haven't really played that bad or anything.
"I've been happy with how I've played. I've put up pretty good numbers. There are a few plays that I wish I had read differently, but it's all good. I'm getting better at everything."
Although Arizona State made a very strong impression on Jones during a recent visit, his recruitment is still in the early stages.
"There are a lot of other schools I'm interested in as well that really like me, especially schools on the West Coast like Arizona and schools like that," he said.
"I don't know a ton about all of them, but I will find out more when I have time."
Jones plans on bringing a couple teammates with him to whatever school he attends.
"I really want to play with my two teammates, Cedric Peterson and Tevita Halalilo, and we're looking at the schools that are most interested in taking all three of us and then we will figure out who will make the cut."
