"Can't complain at all about how the season is going," Grant said. "We're three and one and we just beat Paradise Valley easily. We would love to be undefeated, but at the same time we are breaking in a new coach and a new offense, so there will be some growing pains."
Grant believes his attention to detail has paid major dividends.
"I went into the off season really focusing on my condition and burst," he said. "We run a lot of counters and plays like that, so I've been working on pulling."
Although focused on the high school season, Grant took some time off to check out ASU's victory over Wisconsin.
"Man, the environment was awesome and everyone was just going crazy," he said. "It was a bizarre way to win a game, but a win is a win."
ASU isn't the only school that has caught Grant's eye.
"I like Utah, Michigan State, Arizona, and Colorado," he said. "I went down to Arizona for a camp and had a great time and I would like to get down there for a visit and just see what is going on.
"I don't know when I will start going on visits, but the facilities and how the team gets along is very important to me. The ASU game was fun because I could see how much the fans care about their team and that was really cool. The other visits will be important so I can compare atmospheres."
It will take some time before Grant starts narrowing down this list.
"I've thought for some time I won't decide before my senior season," Grant said. "I got a lot of stuff on my mind and I don't want to rush into a decision."
