Standing 6-foot-3 and nearly 280 pounds, Stringam is a mauler in the run game with quick enough feet to minimize quick pass rushers' effectiveness.
However, football success isn't anything new to the Stringam family.
"I come from a football family and my cousin is at BYU, so I've been around football my whole life," Stringam said. "I just love to play the game and while I love to play the game, I love all the work that goes into playing the game."
Stringam's love for football is something that coaches have noticed.
"I've heard from recruiters and they think I play the game the right way and that feels good to hear," Stringam said. "I've been getting more attention from schools like BYU and Utah State and I plan on going down to Arizona to see what they've got going on."
As of now, Stringam does not know a lot about Arizona, but would like to find out more.
"Arizona has been recruiting me for a bit now and they like what I can do," he said. "Honestly, I want to find out more about them, so I would like to get there and see the facilities that I've heard about."
It's not just football that Stringam will be thinking about when making his collegiate decision.
"Academics will play a major part in any decision I make," Stringam said. "That aspect has been stressed to me since the beginning of my schooling and it is something I take pride in.
"I obviously want to check out the athletic facilities, but at the same time I want to check out the academic facilities as well."
