Petite looking to visit

Arizona recently offered one of the top tight ends in the west. Read on for his thoughts on the offer, his overall recruitment, and more.

Arizona is in the midst of 2015 recruiting and one of the top targets is Moraga (Calif.) Campolindo tight end Tyler Petite.

"They said that I was their top tight end prospect in the 2015 class," Petite said. "The coaches like how I can get open and run legit routes, but I can also stay in and block. I have good size for the position as well, so their offer was great and we'll see where it leads."

Petite showed a variety of skills this past season.

"We went 11-1 last season, but lost in the semifinals," he said. "I was happy with how I played though. I caught for around 500 yards, but also blocked well."

Petite continued his strong play at the Rivals camp earlier this year. With his skill set, it is no surprise that recruiters from all over the country are trying to get Petite on campus.

"I actually saw Cal last week," Petite said. "It's close and they have a new staff, so I wanted to check it out. Then I'm going to head out to Northwestern to watch spring practice and then probably get over to Duke."

Expect Arizona to be added to the list of schools Petite plans to visit.

"I want to explore all the schools that are interested in me," he said. "The coaches at Arizona seem cool and I have family in the area. They are all ASU fans, but that wouldn't dissuade me. I want to go to the best place possible for me."
