"We had a pretty good season," Baber said. "We went 9 and 3 and made it to the second round of the playoffs and I was happy with how I played. I did well on both sides of the ball."
The Arizona coaching staff noticed the 5-foot-10, 170-pound athlete's success.
"Arizona offered me last week and that was great," Baber said. "Coach Rodriguez said he thinks there is an opportunity for me to come and play quickly and that is something I want to do at whatever school I go to.
"I think the fact that I'm pretty quick and can get in and out of spaces pretty quickly helps me as well. It sounds like that could be a good place for me, but I have to check it out and everything."
Baber has received interest from other schools and plans on taking his time before making a decision.
"Nevada offered me and California is stepping up their interest level as well," he said. "Plus I've heard from Oregon and I want to see what they have to say.
"I want to get to the places that have shown the most interest in me, but I also want to go to a place that likes to put points on the board and has a coach who I get along with. I know the right fit is out there. That's why I want to wait a little bit and see what is out there for me."
