Since then, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound back has picked up offers from Arizona, California, Washington, and more.
"Ever since I started here I just wanted to take everything out on the football field and for the most part I've been able to do that," Williams said. "I've rushed for thousands of yards and put up dozens of touchdowns, so that feels good."
Before the season, Williams went about training to take his game to another level.
"I felt that there were times that I couldn't get to the edge or that I would get tackled by somebody I shouldn't have, so I really worked hard on the sprints and running and it paid off this season," Williams said.
One of the latest payoffs came in the form of his first offer, which was from Arizona.
"They just offered and I don't know a ton about them right now, but they are a nice school on the West Coast and I want to learn more," Williams said.
Williams is far from narrowing down his recruitment and he is leaving time for other schools to get involved.
"There isn't a reason for me to be in a big rush because I feel I can play at a high level and I think the more coaches see that the more they will be interested," he said.
"I don't have anything scheduled right now, but I'm going to get out there soon and look at some schools and I imagine Arizona could be one of those schools."
