Holiday enjoys visit

Dechaun Holiday visited Arizona this past weekend for the spring game. Read on for his thoughts on the visit, his recruitment, and more.

San Marcos (Calif.) Mission Hills 2015 cornerback Dechaun Holiday was one of many recruits on hand for Arizona's spring football game and he came away with a couple of thoughts.

"I visited both the Arizona schools this past weekend," Holiday said. "I went to the Arizona spring game, which was good. They got some players there and some guys I have known for awhile.

"Visiting Arizona State was fun too. The coaches there think I can be a good cornerback in their system and that's what I plan on doing wherever I go."

Playing cornerback at the collegiate level is very important to Holiday.

"Wherever I go I want to play cornerback," he said. "Arizona has talked to me a little about playing safety, but I want to be a corner."

Holiday isn't quite sure where the next step in the recruiting process will take him.

"I don't have any visits lined up right now, but I do have some camps that I'm going to," he said. "Hopefully I can continue to build off my junior season."

Considering how strong his junior season was, it could be difficult to improve on it.

"We won CIF and I played pretty well all season," Holiday said. "I forced turnovers and tried to shut guys down and the coaches liked what they saw because that is when I started getting a lot of West Coast offers.

"I'm hoping I can keep getting offers and I might decide on a school before my senior season or I could wait. I just have to find the right school and defensive scheme."
