"Going to the University of Arizona for their game was just a great time," Cote said. "They were my first offer and they have let me know for quite awhile that they think a lot of my game.
"They think I can continue to get bigger and they say the passion I play with is something that they always look for in a player."
The other in-state university has also made a favorable impression on Cote.
"Arizona State is nearby and the coaches have told me they think I can play early and be a big piece for the future," Cote said.
"Both these schools are on the rise and in-state, so that is something I really like."
There is another school that has caught Cote's eye as well.
"I'm going to Colorado on June 1st," he said. "It's a somewhat new coaching staff there and on top of that it's a school with some history. I will be going there with an open mind."
Meanwhile, Cote will continue to hone his football skills.
"I felt by the end of the season I was one of the better offensive linemen in the state and I want to keep building off of that," Cote said.
"I'm working out hard right now and I'm also throwing the shot put. They both go together and it really has focused me on getting that lower body explosion."
