Reed taking his time

Elk Grove (Calif.) Cosumnes 2015 wide receiver L.J. Reed is taking his time with the recruiting process. Read on for his thoughts on the schools involved and more.

Possessing quickness, long arms and a nose for the football, Elk Grove (Calif.) Cosumnes 2015 wide receiver L.J. Reed is a player most good schools on the West Coast would be interested in, and he is being recruited accordingly.

"I got some stuff going on here pretty soon with UCLA," Reed said. "They have been on me for some time to get there and I'm going there for the spring game.

"I'm excited to see everything they have. They have been winning a bunch of games and Coach Mora has been bringing in good talent, especially from California."

UCLA is not the only schools involved, as Reed will soon be visiting a couple of others as well.

"Arizona, Arizona State and Washington have been recruiting me too and those are schools are on the rise and they are places I want to see if I can see myself at," Reed said.

Arizona is also trying to entice Reed down for a visit.

"They offered me a little bit ago," he said. "Coach said he liked my game and it is on the West Coast and has done some good things as well, so I will see where that leads."

Reed has no plans on making a quick collegiate decision.

"I'm going to take my time with this," he said. "I want to see schools and I want to see the places that have the best coaches and wide receivers.

"Basically I want to see how things are run and how the receivers improve. After I have all that figured out, I'll announce my decision. I've got a lot of things to think about."
