Receiver wants to visit

Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde wide receiver Cedric Peterson is planning to visit Arizona. Read on to see how he says about his recruitment and more.

Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde is one of the top talent producing schools on the West Coast and the 2015 class is particularly strong. While quarterback Sheriron Jones garners most of the attention, wide receiver Cedric Peterson is an outstanding player in his own right.

"This past season was good for me," Peterson said. "I got a lot of recruiting stuff because I'm getting a lot better at reading defenses and that was pretty big for me the last season. I also have spent a lot of time getting bigger and more physical, which has helped me with my yards after the catch."

Despite Peterson's breakout season, Rancho Verde didn't quite live up to its lofty expectations.

"Our team had a kind of disappointing finish, so we're super motivated to get better individually and as a team," Peterson said.

Arizona would love to add a competitor like Peterson to the fold.

"We had an Arizona coach stop by my school earlier," Peterson said. "He had a lot of nice things to say. He liked my game and he wants me to go down there for a visit with my quarterback."

Not coincidentally, Peterson and Jones hold offers from many of the same schools.

"Right now I have offers from Arizona, Nebraska, Idaho, Nevada, Indiana, Cal and a couple other schools," Peterson said. "I don't have any visits set up to any places, although I want to get to Arizona soon.

"We don't have any time we are going to decide. I will probably let the camps play out and see if I get any more offers and then I will try to get my visits started."
