"I kind of knew after I tripped to Arizona during spring break that it was a school I could certainly see myself at," Nunley said.
"It wasn't just one thing either. I loved how the team interacted and watching how the players and coaches talked was great.
"You could just tell that everybody was working toward the same goal, and I wanted to go to a professional yet fun place like that."
Nunley was also able to get a clear grasp of how he fits into the Arizona system.
"The great thing about talking with them about their offense is that everything is based off of what the defense is giving you," Nunley said.
"At times there aren't really even positions. Even though I could be tight end sometimes, I could line up in the backfield, or in the slot, or literally everywhere. It's a perfect offense for me."
His decision out of the way, Nunley can focus on helping out his high school team while also specifically training for Arizona's unique offense.
"It feels great to know where I'm going because that Arizona playbook is pretty big and I need to train to be ready to do everything," he said.
"On top of that, I can totally focus in on helping my team go far for my senior season. I play at a high school that expects to win big and hopefully I can add to that legacy before I move on to Arizona."
