"I have really big plans for this upcoming season," McCoy said. "I want to dominate on both sides of the ball, if possible.
"Little things like keeping proper hand placement and form are things that I'm super focused on. I also will be able to play the whole season this year, so I want to help take my team as far as we can get."
When looking at his commitment, McCoy remains happy with Arizona.
"I'm committed to Arizona obviously," he said. "They were recruiting me from the beginning and every time I've been around them they have been first class.
"The offer they gave me really gave me the confidence to go out and compete at a high level."
Even though he is committed to Arizona, McCoy still wants to look at some other options.
"I just need to look at everything that is out there because I wouldn't be doing myself any favors if I didn't," he said. "Oregon and Washington are schools that I want to take a visit to after the season is over."
McCoy is being recruited by some schools as a tight end and as a defensive end by others.
"I prefer playing tight end, but I'm not opposed to playing defense if that's what it will take to get me to the next level," McCoy said.
"That is a huge goal of mine and if that is what it takes to get to that level, I will gladly do it."
