Besides being a talented performer, he has the look of a player who could make an immediate impact.
"The big things for me right now are making sure I'm continuing to get in better shape while at the same time working on my hand placement, footwork and speed," Mounga said.
"I'm doing my best to hopefully be able to come in and compete for playing time immediately. I think I have the type of frame that will hold up, it's just about going out there and putting in the work."
There are numerous schools involved in Mounga's recruitment and he mentiones three as coming after him hard.
"The coaches from Oregon, Vanderbilt and Arizona have told me they like my game and want to see more from me," he said.
"Arizona was great. They offered me really early and they have kept coming. When you think about it, Arizona is on the rise."
Mounga's familiarity with some of Arizona's recruits has made the school even more attractive.
"Jamie Nunley just committed there," Mounga said. "He feels pretty good about it. I called him to congratulate him. It seems like they are a really good fit."
Arizona fans won't have to wait much longer for Mounga to make a decision.
"I would like to decide by the end of July or early August," he said. "But I have nothing going on yet. I haven't been to many places or camps yet, just the WSU camp. I've got to get a lot of stuff figured out."
