Briscoe will take visits

Isaiah Briscoe is getting closer to ending his recruitment. Read on for an update from his father on that, his development, and more.

It's no secret that Roselle (N.J.) Catholic 2015 combo guard Isaiah Briscoe's recruitment has spiked in recent months, so it didn't come as a shock that he was selected to play for the USA national team.

Besides getting to play against some of the best players in the world, Briscoe was also able to receive some invaluable instruction.

"Getting to play for coaches like Coach Donovan and Coach Miller and Coach Cooley was a great experience for him," said Isaiah's father, George Briscoe. "He thoroughly enjoyed his time on the team and playing for the coaches."

Those coaches and others as well have noticed the improvement in Briscoe's game.

"Man, Isaiah has been busy just getting better and now people see it," said George. "He really worked on his body and his ability to attack the basket or pull up or get his teammates involved has improved as well.

"All the analysts were sure that he couldn't play point guard, but they were wrong because they didn't consistently watch him do it. I always knew he could do that and you can tell others are on board now. He can play both backcourt positions and play them well."

It' still up in the air which school Briscoe will play for however.

"We cut the list down to seven and we're going to take some visits coming up soon," George said. "He wants to see Arizona again and he would like to go to Louisville and Connecticut. From there we will cut the list to five in September."

As far as his overall recruitment goes, Briscoe still knows what he wants in a school.

"Nothing has changed, he wants to go to a school that gets up and down and lets him play to his strengths," George said.

"Honestly, I think he knows what he wants to do, but I'll let him talk about that when he's ready."
