Creason remains happy with commitment

Cody Creason continues to be happy with his commitment to Arizona. Read on to see why that is, his thoughts on the early part of the season, and more.

Folsom (Calif.) 2015 offensive guard Cody Creason is one of the higher rated commits in his class, and he’s off to a fast start this season.

“Everything is going really well right now,” Creason said. “We’ve won our first three games. I started out a little slow, but I’ve been able to pick it up here and I’m rolling right now.

“I went into this season looking to get stronger and to be able to push guys around and all the work I’ve put in the weight room has paid off.”

The Arizona coaching staff has noticed the results as well.

“They mainly ask me how my season is going and stuff like that, but I know they like the way I play football and they like the way I’ve been able to keep getting bigger," Creason said. "It’s always good to hear from them.”

Looking back on his decision, communication was one of the reasons Creason committed to Arizona.

“My unofficial visit there was just mind boggling to be honest," he said. "The campus and city was great and on top of that it just had a natural feel to it.

“But, honestly, it was the coaching staff that did it for me and it started with Rich Rodriguez. It seems like he picks guys out early before others do and then he really lets you know how much he wants you to become a Wildcat. When he gave me that talk I was in.”

In addition, Creason remains drawn in by the direction of the program.

“It’s not just fluff they feed you," he said. "They let you know where the program is right now and what the goal is. I haven’t been able to check out either one of their games because I have had conflicting games.

"I know though that they’re undefeated so far and while there are certainly things that could get a little better, they’re doing really well now.”
