Although Anaheim (Calif.) Servite 2016 safety Micah Croom doesn’t have an array of big time offers, that figures to change.
“I will always be indebted to Utah,” Croom said. “They were the first school to recruit me hard and show the faith in me that I could become a good player. I will always appreciate that and that will be in the back of my mind.
“I really like what USC is doing right now. I’m very good friends with JuJu (Smith) and watching him play for USC has been a blast.
"Everything they told him about making him an all around football player and allowing him to get the ball in a number of different ways was all true. The same goes for Adoree’ Jackson."
Although Croom may have a soft spot for those schools, he is intent in looking at all of his options.
“In two weeks, we will be playing De La Salle, and, if possible, I would like to check out Stanford. It has always been a lifelong goal of mine to be able to be considered to get into a school like Stanford.
“Arizona has been on and off in my recruitment, but it has picked it up as of late. I'm interested in them and I want to see what every school has to offer."
It will be important to get in on Croom now, as he is looking to narrow his list soon.
“I would say by the sixth game of this season I would like to come up with a list of finalists here," he said. "I’m not opposed to making an early decision if I’m ready.”
