Brown sees success in Arizona

Shreveport (La.) Calvary Academy 2015 wide receiver Shun Brown committed to Arizona this past weekend. Read on to see why he is confident in his future and more.

Although a few high profile schools were recruiting Shreveport (La.) Calvary Academy 2015 wide receiver Shun Brown, the chance to play wide receiver in a Rich Rodriguez offense was too alluring.

“There was just no doubt in my mind that I wanted to be a Wildcat after this game," Brown said. "It was hard to not imagine being out there,” Brown said. “I’m totally at a loss to describe everything going on in that game. Arizona was a highly ranked team and they were going to play a school that has done so many great things like USC.

“Arizona got off to a slow start on offense, but in that second half they really picked it up. When that offense gets rolling, it is nearly impossible to stop.”

If everything goes as planned, you can expect Brown to be an important cog of the Arizona offense.

“They want me in the slot because I can get a lot of matchup problems," Brown said. "Looking at the Arizona offense, they have quick little guys all over the field and that really gives defenses a lot of problems.

“It’s not like I’m going to a place where I have to have trust that the offense works. I know for a fact it works.”

For Brown, playing in an explosive offense has become somewhat of a habit.

“I come from a place that pumps out a lot of players and that has a system that gets us in position to make plays," he said.

"I think that will help my transition to the next level. Arizona has recruited quite a few guys from my school and we’re looking to continue our high school success in college.”
