Hamilton plans to visit

Timmy Hamilton is one of the best junior college players in the country. Read on to see his thoughts on Arizona, other schools involved, and more.

Mature and physically ready to come in and contribute immediately, Coffeyville (Kan.) Junior College pass rusher Timmy Hamilton would seem to be an ideal fit for the 2015 Arizona football recruiting class.

“I’m going to Arizona for the November 28th game,” Hamilton said. “We’ve been talking about going out here for a bit. It’s going to be fun.

"I mainly want to be able to see how things go down behind the scenes with the interaction between players and coach. It sounds like it will go well.”

Hamilton is looking at one aspect of his recruitment over all others.

“Early playing time will be a big factor in my decision," he said. "I don’t have four years to play, so I want to be able to go in there and make a big contribution. I am a little older and when I go out there I want to be in the mix as a pass rusher.

“I’m ready because I can hold my own on the edge and burst into the backfield when needed. My game has really grown after the past year or so and it has shown on the field.”

Arizona is not the only school involved for Hamilton.

“The other schools I’m looking at are Iowa State and Illinois," he said. "But Arizona is up there right now. They have put in the effort and it seems I am a guy that they really like.

"I like what I’ve heard and when I go on my visit I want to try and imagine what it would be like to play for a nationally ranked team like that.”
