“It was just a great game and a great environment,” Nunley said. “I had a feeling going into the game that Arizona was probably going to be playing at a pretty high level, especially coming off that UCLA game.”
The weekend certainly did not disappoint the Arizona commit.
“Arizona is just one of those teams that seem to get better and better and they were playing a team in Colorado that was probably a little better than people thought, but it didn’t matter because Coach Rodriguez had the guys ready to play," Nunley said.
Nunley isn’t quite sure what position he will play at Arizona, but he has complete faith in his future coach to make the correct call.
“I got to meet with all the coaches again and it seems each time I’m around them I just have a good time," he said. "We don’t even really talk football; we just talk about things in general. It usually comes back to football though.
“They want me to come in and work out hard and when they see the kind of a weight I can carry, they’ll try to figure out what position I will play.”
In the meantime, Nunley plans on finishing out his senior season in style.
“We’re still playing right now," he said. "We got off to a shaky start this season, but we’ve really come on and were playing good ball. It will be sad whenever my high school career ends, but it’s easier knowing that I will be going onto a higher level to play.”
