Hill building a legacy

Austin Hill believes he has helped build a legacy at Arizona. Read on to see why that is, his feelings upon leaving, and more.

Austin Hill has had numerous achievements in his career, but the one that he might be happiest about is the legacy that he is leaving.

"I think it is definitely a start for the University of Arizona and I happy that i was able to be a senior and help start the legacy like Coach Rodriguez has been saying," Hill said.

"Just go out there and get a big bowl win for the University and get it started for the younger guys."

Austin Hill's brother Aaron was one the Oregon State team that blew out Notre Dame in the 2001 Fiesta Bowl and Austin is excited to share the experience.

"I was happy when I found out because my older brother played in the Fiesta Bowl a long time ago," Hill said. "It is kind of cool to be a part of it and be a part of the bowl history."

As big as the Fiesta Bowl is, Hill is being careful not to hype it too much.

"This game is another game, it’s just my last game," Hill said. "Not to overhype it too much, but we have to go out there and play like it is another game and hopefully we come out with a victory."

Win or lose, Hill knows that he ends his Arizona career having left his imprint.

"I think it means a lot to the seniors," Hill said. "It was our goal coming into this year to have the best season we could and get things rolling for the University and younger guys on our team.

"I think we are doing that and with a win in a big bowl, we will be able to accomplish that."
