“We wish Craig Victor and his family well,” Arizona head coach Sean Miller said.
Victor played in eight games for the Wildcats this season, averaging 3.1 points and 1.1 rebounds per game.
The move comes as a surprise mostly because his playing time was going as expected.
Although he signed to Arizona with the anticipation that Brandon Ashley would be going pro, minutes were still likely going to be hard to come by with Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Stanley Johnson also able to play the four.
With Ashley coming back, Victor was never able to crack the rotation and struggled to find any type of legitimate minutes. The thought now is that LSU is the favorite to land Victor but other schools are sure to be involved.
