McGinnis ready for Arizona visit

Linebacker Arthur McGinnis is one of the top players left on Arizona's board. Read on to see what he says about the Wildcats, making a decision, and more.

New Orleans (La.) Warren Easton 2015 outside linebacker Arthur McGinnis might be the most coveted UA prospect still available and with his list cut to four, his recruitment seems to be winding down.

“The schools that I’m looking at are Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Arizona,” said McGinnis. “I’m going to Arizona next week. It’s a visit that I’ve been looking forward to for awhile.

"They have been recruiting for a long time. They have had a lot of nice things to say and have said the things I want to hear and it seems that they think I can play early. They have a need at that position and I’m ready to do something like that.”

McGinnis is going to take everything in on his visit to Arizona.

“I want to see how the guys work in the offseason and what the campus life is all about," he said. "The visit will also give me a chance to talk to the coaches more in person and see where they see me fitting in there.

"The other schools have some good stuff as well. All of them are in my area and have history, but they also need some help at my position. Plus they put guys into the league.”

After the visit, McGinnis figures to make a relatively quick decision.

“I’ve got a game coming up then and I would like to make my decision," he said. "I will have all the information I need. The process has been long, so I’m ready to make a decision.”
