Arizona Football Recruiting Trend Meter

Arizona is getting closer to Signing Day. Read on to see the current trends as they relate to the players left on the Wildcats' board.

Gabe Reid, LB, Provo (Utah) Timpview
It is likely between Stanford and Arizona for Reid. If Arizona can get Reid on campus, this one is trending up. If not, it would be a surprise if he winds up anywhere but Stanford. As of now, Arizona is holding steady with him. 1/19 Update: Reid’s visit to Stanford went as we as expected. The Furd remain the heavy favorite.

Arthur McGinnis, LB, New Orleans Warren Easton Charter
McGinnis will visit Arizona this weekend and there is a chance for a commitment. Although he wants to take another visit or two, McGinnis admits that Arizona has what he is looking for. Signing are currently pointing to Arizona going into the weekend. 1/19 Update: The visit to Arizona went extremely well. McGinnis will visit Oklahoma and make a decision soon after, but everything remains strong.

Darrell Clark, WR, New Orleans Warren Easton Charter
Clark will also visit Arizona this weekend and the Wildcats are gaining steam in the recruitment. Like his teammate McGinnis, Clark is looking at the possibility of taking more visits before Signing Day. However, Arizona has positioned itself nicely going into the final few weeks. 1/19 Update: Arizona reiterated that Clark has an offer. Miami will visit him at school, but we think it is just trying to extend the recruitment. The Wildcats are the heavy favorite.

Marlon Gonzalez, DL, Cape Coral (Fla.) North Fort Myers
Arizona has been sticking around with Gonzalez and is in position to get an official visit if it wants it. There are a few factors that go into whether or not he will take that visit, but should he get to campus, Arizona has a shot. Louisville is likely the favorite going into the weekend. 1/19 Update: Gonzalez is no longer scheduled to visit this weekend, which means Arizona is moving on.

Travis Custis, RB, Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College
Custis isn’t necessarily a serious option right now, but he could quickly become one. His goal is sot take a few officials and then make a decision. Arizona is in line to get one of those visits if it decides it wants another running back. 1/19 Update: There is nothing new with Custis. He remains an option if others fall through.
