“I felt it was time to get everything out of the way and make my decision,” Clark said. “I didn’t think that I would commit before checking out other places, but Arizona just made me want to stop everything and start focusing on becoming a Wildcat.
“The visit was great. The coaches made me feel wanted and they had a plan for what I could do and how my quickness and skills could make an impact all over the field.”
Arizona’s aggressive recruiting of Clark’s native city was also an important sales pitch.
“Coach Magee lets us all know that they aren’t just recruiting a few guys here and there, they are trying to get as many good players as possible each year," Clark said. "They have a ton of guys coming in from all over, though.
"I just like the offensive style that Arizona runs. A lot of wide receivers are in and out and it helps to learn a bunch of different positions. I could see myself playing different positions because I have the size and the can learn the parts of the offense.”
Regardless of where he plays, Clark is expecting to make an impact.
“Even though I decided late, I found the right place where I can play," he said. "I always want to get better. I will work as hard as I can and do everything expected of a good football player.”
