Phoenix (Ariz.) Brophy Prep 6-foot-2, 210-pound junior outside linebacker Dante Diaz-Infante is a player with the skills and frame that immediately impresses and he also has one goal in mind.
“I want to be the best player possible and that’s why I’m totally focused on football as my main sport,” Diaz-Infante said. “I’m to the point in my football career where I have to keep my eyes focused on what can get me to the next level, and that is football.“I became a lot more versatile player this past season. I learned how to stand up and be able to play on the edge more."
Diaz-Infante isn’t satisfied, though.
“Football has been a big part of my life," he said. "I want to be that guy who gets to college and continues to work hard and make a name for himself. I know I have the ability and body to get to the next level.”
The in-state football programs are intrigued by Diaz-Infante.
“Arizona, Arizona State and NAU are the teams that have sent me the most correspondence," he said. "Arizona wants me there for the junior camp and I'm obviously going to get there. I haven’t taken any visits or anything, so it will be a good time to see the team and coaching staff.
“I’m not really thinking about make my college choice at all right now. I’m in no hurry to go anywhere and I want to give all the schools out there time to recruit me.”
