Brandon Ashley scored the game’s opening bucket and Askia Booker matched it. Rondae Jefferson and Josh Scott then scored before a bucket by T.J. McConnell and Stanley Johnson put Arizona up 8-4 at the media timeout.
York made a three and Dustin Thomas got on the board. Hollis-Jefferson and Jackson-Cartwright then scored.
Thomas made a free-throw and and York made two of his own. Dominique Collier made a three and York hit another one. Booker then made a jumper and a three by Ashley put Arizona up 23-12 with 10:37 left in the first half.
Tarczewski and Scott exchanged baskets before Hollis-Jefferson made a free-throw. Tarczewski scored again and Booker made two free-throws.
York made a three and Scott hit a jumper. Booker did the same and a basket by Tre’Shaun Fletcher cut Arizona’s lead to 31-22 with 3:31 remaining in the half.
Tarczewski got a basket and Thomas scored off the glass. Arizona then got wo free-throws by Hollis-Jefferson and a score by Stanley Johnson. Scott proceeded to make a free-throw as Arizona led 37-25 at the half.
McConnell and Booker scored to start the half and Johnson did as well. Xavier Johnson made a three and Ashley scored off the glass.
Tarczewski and Scott exchanged buckets, but another shot by Tarczewski gave the Wildcats a 47-32 lead at the media timeout.
Arizona got two consecutive baskets from Tarczewski before Booker scored. Hollis-Jefferson then made a jumper to put Arizona up 53-34 with 11:17 left.
Booker made two from the line and a bucket by McConnell and Stanley Johnson forced another timeout.
Thomas, Hollis-Jefferson, and Stanley Johnson all made two free-throws before Xavier Talton scored. A three by York and two free-throws by Tory Miller had Arizona’s lead at 64-42 with under seven minutes left.
Wesley Gordon made one of two free-throws and Stanley Johnson made a jumper. Alton made a three, but Ashley made two from the line and Stanley got a three-point play. A bucket by Hopkins did not do much at that point, as Arizona led 71-48 with just over three minutes left.
